STONE CARPET
What is it?
Aggregate and marble encased in a clear resin binder bonded to the substrate completely joint free
What can this be laid onto?
The ideal substrate is usually concrete. However, with the right information, Resin Flooring UK are happy to apply this system onto a solid/stable enough bases ensuring no movement beneath. This system can be applied onto marine plywood/floorboards.
How is this applied?
A liquid resin binder is mixed with the aggregate and following preparation this can be applied in one day.
How long does this take to dry?
Drying or curing is dependant upon the temperature. Usually the floor will be tack free after 7 hours and safe to walk on the following day.
Are there fumes/odours?
There are no harmful fumes. Smell from the binder (when wet) is barely noticeable. Tool cleaning is the same as for any painting job, but can be applied outside. The following day all odours will have disappeared.
How do you clean it, especially crevices?
Cleaning is much easier than most other flooring materials. We recommend a wet vacuum every 6 months but in the meantime hoover/wipe down the same way you would a tile using neutral detergents. Where is suitable to apply this flooring?
Suitable throughout any room in the house or in offices/retail stores etc.
Can it be applied externally? Patio? Driveways?
This internal system is suitable for external use but please refer to our Pebblecrete range for other external solutions.
Can it be sealed?
Yes, however, to retain the natural look of the stones, we prefer to leave this range unsealed. If sealing is preferred it can be sealed with either a matt or gloss finish.
QUARTZSCREED
What is it?
Quartz (1-2mm) encased in a clear resin binder bonded to the substrate completely joint free.
What can this be laid onto?
The ideal substrate is usually concrete. However with the right information, The Stone Carpet Company are happy to apply this system onto a solid/stable enough bases ensuring no movement beneath. This system can be applied onto marine plywood/floorboards.
How is this applied?
A liquid resin binder is mixed with the quartz and following preparation this can be applied in one day.
How long does this take to dry?
Drying or curing is dependant upon the temperature. Usually this flooring range can take approximately 3-4 days to install as requires sealing but once sealed you can be back on it the following day.
Are there fumes/odours?
There are no harmful fumes. Smell from the binder (when wet) is barely noticeable. Tool cleaning is the same as for any painting job, but can be applied outside. The following day all odours will have disappeared.

Can it be sealed?
Yes quartzscreed requires sealing either matt or gloss. Can take up to two coats dependent upon absorption.

Any details or trims can be custom designed. Existing features and fittings can be accommodated.
Is it cold under foot?
The resin binding the stone delivers a warm feel making the surface comfortable to bare feet.
Compatible to under floor heating?
Yes suitable for under floor heating can work with water pipes but will need specific specifications from suppliers for us to determine scope our works.
Can you DIY?
Yes we do provide DIY kits and supply materials only. However we recommend this is laid by an experienced floor layer familiar with these systems as we do not provide guarantees when supplying materials alone.

We can gently heat resin based flooring enabling us to repair any nick or dents so they can be smoothed back into place.
PEBBLECRETE
What is it?
Natural aggregates bonded to a polyurethane base
What can this be laid onto?
The ideal substrate is either concrete or Tarmac.
How is this applied?
A polyurethane resin is applied to the substrate, whilst this is still tacky, natural aggregates are applied to fully blind the resin. The following day all excess aggregate is swept off and the remaining aggregate stays permanently bonded to the resin.
How long does this take to dry?
Drying or curing is dependant upon the temperature. Usually this flooring range can take approximately 2-3 days to install depending on weather conditions and size of area
Are there fumes/odours?
There are no harmful fumes. Smell from the binder (when wet) is barely noticeable. Tool cleaning is the same as for any painting job, but can be applied outside. The following day all odours will have disappeared. As this is an external product any odours are lost in the atmosphere, as these products are all solvent free, there are no environmental issues to worry about either.
How do you clean it?
Can be swept when needed to remove dirt, leaves etc, perhaps once every 3 months a jet wash can be used to remove any ingresses of dirt.

Can it be sealed?
No, this system should not require sealing as it can be easily deep cleaned. The use of sealers is not recommended externally due to their poor UV stability and they rarely withstand extremes in the weather.

Stone Floor and Walls POLISHED CONCRETE EFFECT
What is it?
A cement based system applied onto a concrete substrate(Floors) and plastered walls or plaster board (walls)and sealed with a stone oil to give a silk finish.
What can this be laid onto?
The ideal substrate is concrete base that's structurally sound with no cracking or deformation.
How is this applied?
Powders are mixed with water and either trowelled on to concrete surface by hand or via a pump dependant on the size area. The mix is then finished with a finishing trowel to create the pattern once polished.
How long does it take to dry?
24 hours to fully cure however light traffic can be on the surface the following day.
How do you clean it?

SMOOTHFLOOR
What is it?
Smooth, glossy resin applied at 2-4mm onto a concrete or marine plywood base delivering both vibrant and neutral colours.
What can this be laid onto?
The ideal substrate is usually concrete however with the right information the stone carpet company are happy to apply this system onto a solid/stable base ensuring no movement beneath this system. We can then apply onto marine plywood/floorboards.
How is this applied?
A liquid self levelling resin trowelled onto the substrate and leveled using a trowel. This system is usually applied in three-four days dependant upon size area and number of rooms.
How long does this take to dry?
Drying or curing is dependant upon the temperature. Usually the floor will be tack free after 12 hours and safe to walk on the following day.
